Default Accord CB9

Hey Stanceworks! Im Gene, I go by Gene, but yall can call me Joe. I decided its time for a build thread.

This is where i started...
1 Month ago: N E who.. I picked up this sweet 85 244 volvo aka Bentley(gf nicknamed him that) Well i bought it about 3 months ago for 700 smacks. Since, I've cut the springs, changed the rear springs to coilovers(need to put the fronts on), tinted the windows, added a system, bought lug conver apts and painted the chrome grill. I want to Stance it, but im not sure what wheels. I really would like something similar to Work Equips (Steph's BMW Bavaria) style. I want to K.I.S.S(Keep.It.Simple.Stupid) and stay far away from steelies and racing style wheels.

Sorry for the phone piks.. No dig cam..
20111005_120503

wanted these

LMAO renderings

Then it did this:

So i did this:

And bought one of these:
(the night i bought it. we celebrated at Popeye's )

drove to buy these(SPW, waiting on the KYB agx shox):

Couldn't wait for the shox, so i did this for a local accord/lude meet:

Yesterday i took a few of these:

So thats it for now. until after Christmas

Good start man. I'll probably see it around somewhere since you aren't too far away.

Nice start, but for the love of God take out that HID kit. I can't stand idiots who put HID's in a regular halogen housing. Good alternative- Nokya bulbs.

Hope this project carries well, glad to see another Honda on here.

The left side was in a previous accident so the entire left side assembly is outta wack. That will addressed soon along with the bullet hole in my roof..

the plan is to paint it. Convert it to 5 speed. Some sexy wheels and enjoy. Maybe some boost later, depends on my housing situation in the next year or so.

Sucks you junked a perfectly good, very clean looking Volvo. Guess Swedish Stance is best left to the hardcore Brick owners. Enjoy your wagon. CBs are lookers when done proper, though I haven't seen a proper wagon before. Hope you can pull it off.

Yeah it looked perfect, but the wiring was pretty fried. The headlights came on when I would brake and pretty much everything else was done. I just wanted a clean slate. I hope I can pull it off as well... It just sux cause there aren't many fitted cb9s except like 3 or 4 no referencing

Small Update(teaser):
I picked up some new wheels from my local CL. They aren't as aggressive as i anticipated, but they fit really good. All i can say until i get my new tires, is that they aren't something you probably use to seeing.

I'm all for the idea of doing a projector retrofit into a halogen housing, but just sticking an HID bulb in there and calling it a day is really awful.
