It's a 1981 bmw 320i. I picked it up in 2009.

I saw an ad on craigslist for a "old bmw" the seller said it had sat for years, that was enough for me to take a trip from michigan to indiana, I pulled up into his driveway. looked under the hood. Paid him $600. bought a vaccum hose. drove it home. It wasn't just a good deal price-wise, It was a 1 owner, 58,000 mile, 5 speed with full history.

only on craigslist.

anyways, this is going to be a long term project with a bmw heritage theme.

and my winter reality is: shave, drop, wheels. done

I really enjoy this community, I love the passion and the cars.

thanks. -ross

thanks guys, and what im thinking for the car is this:

No engine swaps. tune the m10 like the factory or alpina did:

Photobucket

For the wheels im thinking OEM bmw bbs turbo fan style wheels. Im pretty shure there euro only and a 5 lug swap will be needed. but oh well.

Photobucket

Then a healthy drop on gc coilovers.

And this winter Im shaving the front end and fender bolts. prepping and painting.

come spring a euro rear bumper will be in the works.

and for other odds and ends:

Photobucket

Scheel Mann plaid seats.

Photobucket

An ash tray delete with these.

Photobucket

enrico nardi classic.

Photobucket

And the hard to find big rubber spoiler. I might have to get an 02 turbo one though.

My taste is odd I know. but I think it will work.

Good taste. I really like it. You may want to consider adapters over a 5lug swap though.

Adaptec is most likely your best bet for those. They're a site sponsor to boot.

In michigan 10 out of 10 people think old euros are junk.

I just emailed a guy with a 1964 Mercedes sel Fintail, mint.

$650. needs a brake master cylinder....

people are throwing away priceless cars.

Oh well more for us.
