Yeah this was imported from Japan where the sedan is known as the Galant and the station-wagon is known as the Legnum. But over in mainland Europe and the US i believe you only got the Galant name.
Important difference to note with the VR4, which again i dont think you got in mainland Europe and the US is the addition of AWD and a twin turbo V6 setup.

Awesome car. I knew other countries got the VR-4, but didn't know it was available in a wagon.
So many cool cars out there we don't get in the US.

This is relevant to my interests. I've always liked the "Galant" but this wagon makes me go loco! Great job man!

There's one of these always parked a few streets over... I've always wondered how it'd look properly fitted. Love it!

Nah it wasn't the boots ripping that was the issue. It was the actual driveshaft angle, caused massive vibration when accelerating which was annoying to say the least. Basically the joints are now screwed as a result, trying to source new ones but not easy to find cheap.
And the engine is more or less stock with an EBC, exhaust and intercooler being the only real "power mods". Put it on the dyno not long ago and it made 232awhp, which was around 330bhp if i remember rightly. Goes alright but its my daily drive and i'm still a student so nothing too major.

Wow, I never knew the Galant (Legnum) came as a VR4 in that body style! Yours is a great looking example. As someone already said, we don't get a lot of the cool stuff in the States.

We never got the wagon at all. It has always been a legnum as the wagon and Galant as the sedan worldwide.
But I love it! perfect color combo and simple. I know the Us v6 galant's have vibration from the axles when they go lower than 1.75 inches, so they put a shim(washer) between the axle and hub to space it out and it solves the problem. You could try that.

Always liked Legnum VR-4's. I used to build/tune them in the early Gran Turismo's (1-3). My friends would always pick fun at me for modifying a wagon on a game where endless amounts of "supercars" were at your disposal, but I would always have the last laugh after we raced as those cars are excellent sleepers and make gobs of power when tuned correctly
Anywho, sorry for going somewhat off topic there.......car looks good dude! I'm jealous!

You wouldn't have a link to that thread on the galant centre would you. Been trying to find that recently as I remembered seeing it a while ago but haven't had any luck. I don't think it will work in my case as the wear patterns Within the CV cup suggest that it is still running well inside the cup. Mine is more just the high angle causing binding. But yeah if you have a link would love a read.

WOW. Ive always been a fan of galant styling for some reason. The fact that its a white wagon makes it amazing. Very nice. Are you missing a front lip?

I never saw it on TGC but my main forum Galant Tuners has it too.
Start from Post #10 and go down. For some reason I cant find the original.

that's weird about your axle problem, there's tonnes of these in nz that roll lower without problems, both in sedan and wagon vr4 form. they're pretty cheap here but from what i hear of your import laws i imagine you didnt get this there easily/cheaply!
