Open letter to the RS guru
I'm having trouble determining if the BBS RS uses the same size center for all lip diameters. To me it seems that is true but I could be wrong?
The reason I ask is I would more so like to build my own set of RS rather than buy a complete set. I'm going for 18in for my W8 passat wagon and I don't like the look of the Super RS.
I'm wondering if I can purchase 18in barrels from tunershop as a start and just pick up parts from there? Do the barrels they sell use the normal smaller style RS center?

The 18" barrels tunershop sells use the normal diameter centers from the 17" RS's.
But yes, they make various diameter centers for the various diameter wheels. They don't all use the same centers.

there are 13" centers used on most 17" RS. There are also 12.25" centers used on most 16" RS. In some cases such as the 178's and 198's, there are 17" wheels with the smaller 12.25" centers.
You will want 13" centers.
