Default Stupid wheel question

I have a set of original equipment BBS one piece cross spoke type wheels on my e28. I intend polising the lips but I need to refinish the center part too. I'd like to powder coat tis bit as it's obviously very hard wearing.
So, should I get the whole wheel blasted, mask off the area I want to polish and then have them powder coated, then polish the lip, or is there another way, any advice gratefully recieved, thanks in advance.

Either way you have to be careful with the center. If you put scratches on the spokes they will show through the powder coat.
