W202 C280 on 9.5 and 12 carlsson 3/6
Whats going on peeps....I love how stance work covers different cars from different parts of the world and I like the way how we all speak one language when it come to cars.
new to the forum but not new to stanced cars and all...thought I would like to say hello from Jakarta, Indonesia.
Back in 2007-2010, I went to University in Maryland had a blast met a lot of cool people and best of it all I drove this POS which I love very much...2001 jetta on RH ZW3 gold bolts bla bla bla 8.5 and 10
but life forced me to go back home and face the reality, got a job and couldn't be happier, then I picked up a w202 C280 R6, nice lil mercedes....
got bored and start to to play around with it. picked up carlsson 3/6 8.5 and 10....and decided that I want more dish. So had a custom lips in the rear and got a custom lips made and have a final fitment of 9.5 and 12....
I only have crappy cell phone pics as I am still debating whether I want to get smaller tires 235/40/18 (currently 245/40/18) for the rears since I want more low, let me know. Still need to dial the stance...
let me know what you guys think its a work in progress....I work from 9-5 everyday so its ganna be a long process
btw should I get 235/40/18 tires? they are 245/40/18 achilles phi
***the wheels is measure to 9 inch up front and 11.5 in the rear, and nopeeeee...the bead on on the 235 will not stick, thus I will be staying with 245.
will be taking pics real soon...hopefully this week.

If i were you, Id drop down a size in the sidewall, the stretch is fine, side walls are just a little tall, your coming from a vw, and especially a mk4, where 40's are the standard for 18's, drop it down to 35 series and keep the same widths and they should sit good and youll be able to go a hell of a lot lower, or you could always just get hyphy with a fender roller.

Yeah i wanted to run 35 but there is a huge difference in price...i actually ran 235 for a while I had no rub at all, I already pulled the fender with a roller...
when i ran 235 I was scared that it couldnt hold air...so switch to 245, but judging from the sidewall...235 should be fine yeah? its not easy to come by with tires where I am from...if only tyredirect is a click away...

Like said above, lower the sidewall and then pull your fenders out to match the wheel poke better.

Love it mate! As above, maybe slight more stretch on the rear and what ever else ot takes to get the rear sitting a tad lower over the wheels!

yeah at first I wanted to run 11's but when I calculated it over, I have 7.5 barrel + .5 face + 3.75 lips. So roughly its 11.75. I used those fender rollers thingy, but ended up having the car repainted on the fender cause paint was chipping...I went hard at it. Car is sitting lower than the pic above, the above pic is when I had the tires installed and had a "stopper" on the struts to prevent it from rubbing.....
to be honest it was a mistake....to much work for me to make the wheel fit.

Yeah...got the fender pulled slightly....car is currently at my buddies place, I want to repolish the rear lips and get smaller tires, mostlikely I will go with 235/40/18

something is wrong with that math, 245's on 12's is not happening.... I think your calculating the overall width, not inner bead width, 245 on 10.75" makes more sense
nice car to!

you mean the width of the rear wheels? the previous set up was a 10 with 2-2.25 inch lips. And then ordered 3.75 lips
Maybe I am wrong sir but I am quite sure that this is not 10.75....
help me calculate ?

well like i said earlier there is not way that's a 12" wheel, and i do not mean to sound like an A$$, on my old 500E pictured in my sig the wheel was 18x11" with a 255/35 and it streched like a motherf*kr, and i went thorugh a nightmare to squeeze it under my quater panels, the 500E has much lager quaters then any W202, fitting a 12" wheel on any W202 would require some serious serious fender work.
