UK Civic, 1.3 carb to 1.6 injection with fitment
Been on here a while, but the car i started with is actually now gone.
So that was the old, 16x8 et15l, running static and as little camber as possible, was around -2 all round in the end. Built up from 100% stock, can't even begin to start on the amount of work that went into that car. Sadly it was an auto so decided to sell up to start a proper project. Fast Car wouldn't feature it, and no one else really bothered about it either, so it got sold and pretty much no idea what's going on with it now, just sit's on a guy's drive way.
I'd always wanted to build a DX into a B16 engine'd car, so was finally that time.By the way, a DX is carb, so literally everything has to be changed... i shall explain.
A flight to scotland and a 9 hour drive back we have.
One standard car.
Rear arches got done, suspension went on, wheels went on.
Before long, it ended up like this.
Dash out, interior out, basically the whole front 70% of the loom was swapped.
This was the bay. No nothing. Subframe, hubs, arms everything was dropped.
It's actually easier to say what hasn't changed on the car. Essentially, the chassis, bodyparts and interior are the same. I've played with the dash though, JDM clocks, fitting a rather tasty seating setup, other then that, shit's all different.
New fuel lines, new brake lines, different fuel tank, different loom, different subframe, different steering rack, different discs, disc conversion on rear, engine swap, blah blah blah. It's also a B16A out of a JDM Civic, and running on a Mines ECU, it's actually pretty damn fast, gets to 230km/h (stupid JDM clocks lol) pretty nicely haha. Be a shame to have to drive like a pansy everywhere, but i'll be keeping my winter mode for track events later on in year and driving like i built it.
Another set of wheels later and we are done!
So that's where i'm currently at.
Wondering why i'm still on Stance Works?
Gold hardware, 15x8 and 15x7.5 BBS RM010. Offset wont be extreme so will need a little spacing helping, but later this week (in time for JapFest, Area F, come check us out!) they will hopefully be on, and hopefully i'll be sitting pretty again.
See y'all around - annoyingly, every MK meet i've been busy/out of country/at japfest.

Just the beginning!
Sadly, it's coming up at the front a little bit, it's MENTAL low. My subframe is like 15mm from the floor.
A little work, including spacing the front, and we getting to the idea in my head.

It's my camera phone, proper dull's down the colour, but to be honest, they are a bit dull as well, but not quite as bad as the picture makes out.
Although fronts are OEM BBS gold, rears are what i had replated.

So, JapFest has been and gone, and there are now a lot of scrape marks in, and around Chippenham.
That was after raising it, and that's not the lowest point, the ARB just to the left is lower, that can is fighting with my subframe. That's the coilovers maxed out on rear, and the front's have come up 10mm from max.
Like this shot, Integra on BBS, and Civic on BBS.
Yes, spacers, i know, didn't get time and run out of money, will be happening next month.
Finally, me avoiding cat's eyes - they make the most awful ding noise ever!

Naaah, got other plans for the head lights and corners. Getting clear and flat side's are on the list, need to get bodywork sorted first though.
Just ordered 25mm spacers. Not sure if that'll be enough but we shall see soon enough. Well, after my 10 days in Greece next week.

I re-lipped the rear's, so i know it's not cheap. :P
They only RM's so you just need to buy a new lip.
It's not really the cost, it's the effort of doing it. When i did the rears, the gold plate literally fell of all all the bolts so had to get them all replated. Was just a major pain in the arse which puts me off rebuilding them, then had to reseal one too. Never again.
