Default '05' Fabia VRS Build (Audi V6 Killer)

hello there

This is my daily runner so will be taking my time with this.

i know this will look strange to some of you as you dont have this car over in the states but are quite a popular car over here in the UK.

Its a 1.9TDI 130bhp PD engine with 240ft/lb torque and thats just standard.

Here it is as it was purchased in Oct '10'

First thing to get done was the bump strips and handles colour coded to the car

Changed the old badges to the new '10' Fabia VRS badges and also got the pressed mate plates

Bought some Octavia VRS 17" rims as I didnt like the standard ones on the car. Got the wheels with tyres for £100 so a bargain

Friend of mine who works at a Just Car Clinic had the wheels refurbished and was also kind enought to have them sprayed United Grey and also sourced me some Toyo Proxy Tyres and had them fitted too.

Then fitted them to the car. Fitted them straight after work in the car park (my boss wasn't impressed lol), it was -3c and windy as hell but got them on.

Next thing was that i designed my own centre caps using my wheel whores stickers i purchased for the back window lol

here they are on the car, think they look good and very different

Ordered some FK coilovers which arrived in a couple of days so got them slapped on but only problem with these cars is all the coilovers only drop 35mm max!! Bit disapointed as im not getting the stance i want but it will do once I cant sort something else out.
Had them fitted to only find out the anti roll bar whad dropped onto the drive shaft so i couldnt drive the bloody thing!! had to order longer drop links for it to clear the drive shaft so that meant a whole weekend driving round in a '96' 1.4L 16v polo!! not good

Once they were fitted the car did look a lot better, didnt like like a monster truck anymore

Toook the car to JJB Audi Specialist at York for a remap last friday (28th Jan), got it done at a good price due to him being a good friend and me sorting out his 600bhp Audi S4 with some parts he needed sourcing from Germany.

Car is going to be rolling roaded this saturday but should be pushing 190bhp + and over 450ft/lb of torque.

Car is also booked in at the end of the month for the front bumper smoothing which means removing the licence plate and the whole backing and getting it all flushed like this:

Ordered the front splitter too this morning so all good. Bigger brakes will be to follow plus looking to get some new rims but a bit unsure of which to get.

Pics will follow when this is all done so stay tuned

Well, had it on the rollers on saturday and was quite disapointed with the results. 184bhp and 400ft/lb torque, was expecting so much more. the only up side was I had more torque than a Scooby STi UK Spec, but whilst putting it on the rollers they decided to smash the plastic undertray, so i had a nice vibration when i took the car over 90mph on the way home.

Splitter is due to arrive shortly, but not having anymore work doen till next month due to lask of funds this month.

Will keep you all updated when it goes in for the bumper doing.

these always make great torque and average bhp, but its the torque that makes them so fun. the acceleration is so effortless. im sure i read somewhere that a mapped one making about 160bhp was within half a second of a 911 turbo on a 50-70mph 6th gear run lol.

They are loads of fun mate especially when your sat in the outside lane at 80mph and a tosser in 5 series flashes you out the way and you just leave them, they dont like that. I've done it many a time and been called a wanker lol.

Did it to a brand new 2.5TDi A4 took him on the slip road and he booted it before me, yet again got the wanker sign lol They dont like the fact they got done by a skoda

Right............a quick update on the car.

Front splitter arrived and is now waiting to be sticker bombed up along with interior mirror and wing mirror covers. Now decided that im not feeling the wheels and toying with the idea of some borbets or a set of jaguar XJ alloys which have a decent dish and and will look quite good with a bit of stretch on

up dates and pick will follow once the sticker bombing has been done.

Oh ......nearly forgot, Audi S3 front braking system put on the car and bumper being sent to smooth in a couple of weeks and the roof will be getting vinyl wrapped shortly too with something completely different

happy days will keep you all posted.

Pretty sure beating a V6 Audi is nothing to brag about. Now if you are talking stage 3 2.7L v6 s4, then I would be impressed.

Well after much thought, the front splitter will be going on and there will be no sticker bombing on the car. Bumper is in at the moment being smoothed. Door mouldings are to be removed shortly but just debating what else to do???

Anyone any ideas?

Hi guys,

Not been on for a while, bad stuff happening at work and home but wont bore you with the details.

Just a quick update on the car as nothing has been done over the past few months.

Unfortunately coming to work one morning I lost the car on some black ice coming into the industrial estate coming into work. It made a right mess to the offside rear of the car, so needed new wheel, hub, bearing, shocker, and rear axle so that was a priority just before christmas!!

So now i have decided there will be some changes made in the Spring/Summer.

Bumper has finally gone in for smoothing and will be dropped off to me today with the front spliter fitted and fog light surrounds in black to blend in with the vents. (Pics will be posted tonight after I have been to the gym).

Going to look at some new rims, maybe something along the lines of Porsche Twist or some Merc wheels. not had chance to really have a look so please hit me with any ideas you might have.

Interior is going to stay the same for now unless I get offered full black leather from a VRS Special Edition.

if anyone has any ideas you would like to hit me with please do so

Cheers for looking

I love Fabia vRS's bouht one new in '05 an yours is a beauty

Honestly i dont like it without the numberplate holder thingy on the front that whole (in need of a better word with my limited english vocabullary) seam between the lower and upper front bumber piecess just gets to visible...

And it neeeds low mine was dropped 13,5 cm on top of the 1½ cm factory drop drove with Weitec coils with heated springs to get that low:-D

and even though i love the Octavia wheels i would find some 9x16" with very low profile tires to get that extra low;-)

Mine had around 160 Bhp but it would still take on much more serius cars, its finest momet was leaving an Escort Cosworth with 350bhp and a ferrari testarossa in the dust driving home from Le Mans one year! at least 50 times crossing Belgium i out accelerated them from 120-170km/h when we had to overtake trucks and campers even though they geared down.

when we stopped for fuel they came over asking what the hell was under the bonnet cause they couldnt keep up even after changing down a gear! I never left 6th LOL should never have sold it...

Is it just the light or does the front look uneven where the plate used to be?

I would reduce sticker count, but love the car otherwise.
