Default Ethel.

Well, since this is about style. Here is Ethel. An atypical lowered e28. No 15,16,17 or 18 inch wheels, no stretch tires, no incredible engine swaps. Just a college kid who wanted to ride low with other cool dudes. Hella sunk 14's wrapped in too much meat to spin, an underpowered M20 eta e engine. But I love the car, the 14's and the occasionally pissy engine. It's got personality. But it's more than the car, it's wheels and it's power. It's about the community I've met and gotten to know. Great guys, good times and I love being a part.

rear bumper is held on by the center shock. It's the slanty face.

Oh... whoops, how'd that one get in there...

Definitely not inspiration worthy, IMO. Definitely not doing this car right, in terms of the feature cars and big name guys on the site.
But thanks man. Not in it to win it, just happy to be here.

And this a damn good attitude to have. More people in the community need to have this attitude. The car has a ton of potential Christof, I look forward to where you can take this. Just no "rat" stuff please.

Hopefully I'll get to see you MD guys again soon. Awesome to meet you at H2Oi.

New wheels are in the works, btw. Forged BMW style 3's. I will never be stretching mad tire like the best, simply because it's a DD and I need the meat. But I will be trying to lessen the tire on these 3's when I get them. Favorite set of BMW wheels ever, and I'll grab them for a buck fitty.
Was in the market for a sick set of Dino Windy's, but after getting hit with an alcohol citation, $400 of the $450 saved up, went to fines and fees. Stupid alcamuhol.

Thanks man.

No rat shit, promise

Thanks a lot Kielan, it was great meeting you too, and hopefully definitely be seeing you some over winter break.
The people are more important than the cars to me. I mean hell I'm not talking to yeralls cars, now, am I?

I think it actually pulls off the 14s well with the meaty tires and non-flush fitment. Gives off the look of an older classic on its OEM wheels, and the deep dish baskets are attractive, I like it like a lot. Doing a few things to clean it up like painting the fender where it has chipped, as well as sitting on the passenger side of the bumper will help a lot man.

Hahaha, I'll eventually get the euro bumper rubber and go faux-euro.
Most likely, if all permits, the car is getting a new paint job and other things over winter break. Although, I kind of doubt the paint will happen, considering temperature restraints. And hell, I don't really care about secrets, so Cole dished the idea of flat red paint. I'll probably accent with gold wheels and the like (tastefully of course). And, not to worry, the paint will be done right. No shotty jobs for my car. Sand, treat and prime all the rust spots, use proper paint tools and supplies, etc.

Coming from you Moose, that does mean a lot, though. You have the cleanest, truest e28 out there.
I would like to sit more low, but I feel that the e28 doesn't have the best low status unless you get an airdam/spoiler kit. You know what I mean?

man, you're really not that far from having a really sweet ride! I actually love the wheels, i think if you just cleaned them up a little, spaced them out some, and got some smaller tires i think it would look great!! that and just clean up the car a little overall (front bumper, fenders, etc.)

haha and its funny (well, not really) that you had all that money saved up to put into your car, but then got busted for alcohol citations, because the EXCACT same thing happened to me! go busted for public intox at a football game and its cost me an arm and a leg from court fees, and D&A counseling/classes. at this point, if that had not happened, i would be on coilovers, have my wheels refinished, and prolly would be saving for exhaust and stuff. but im in a stock e46 with lm reps lol

Sux donit, man?!
Yeah, I want to source a new valence, and get the euro bumer rubber. I have some euro turns, and fog light mounts on the way from Aus., but it could take a while. Once I get all of the above, the front end should look damn close to true euro. The ass of the car has a lot of rust, so I'm on the fence about what to do to it. I also **** the tail lights, just the orange part. I want to do something, but I dunno what exactly. Interior is in pretty damn good shape. I'd definitely like to space my wheels out, fer sher. Just need spacer money.
Let me put it to you this way, on the month to month, I have just enough to slip by for rent and utilities payment. I literally have no money for the car. Thus why I cut springs, went bumperless, etc.
The car will come along in time. And if it dies... I'ma be pissed.

Dude, there is nothing wrong with what you're rolling in. It's clean as hell. The 14's don't look that small at all. Well played sir.

Thanks man! I do love the ride. I think it's nowhere near the other e28's on here, but it's here and that's all that matters terribly to me.

Vegas, if I go with less tire, I'm afraid the front will have wheel gap.
Krank, thanks a lot man! I loved your mini, always want a 70's mini. Sorry to see it gone, but hey, next one'll be just as sick!

Well, eventually I will own a nice suspension set up.
I've actually been heavily drawn to the bags after seeing Rusty...

And no, I wouldn't pussy foot bags, I'd sit at a nice, low height all day every day.

I think that my favorite thing about this site's e28 rolling members is that almost all of them are very different.

From your modified stock looking one, to BRod's proper DD, to Mike's Rusty. The e28's cover all walks.

And then pulling in to 7-eleven, running over the cinder, being to low to cleanly back off, ripping the airdam off, and tying it back on with two shoe strings.
Getting up the next morning in rain and cutting off my muffler.

<3 George and Cole for coming down last minute for H2Oi.

I missed so much good stuff at H2o this year because it was my first.

Can't wait for next years! I love this car, too. I've always wanted to get an old bmw and just ride low and stock.
