So I've seen people use barrels as lips, but how big does the lip have to be? The few examples I've seen people are using some crazy camber, and I imagine it's a lot more stress on the bolts for the wheels (the weight of the car on a small lip vs a larger barrel). Is there a general lip size to use or are people just crazy?

The wheel bolts(not referring to the lug bolts) are there to hold the wheel together. They only provide clamping force, the face/center of the wheel has a load bearing surface in contact with the barrel and lip. There is no general lip size, people run whatever.

Sort of. I'm wondering since a lip is generally smaller than a barrel, does putting most of the weight of the car on the smaller lip rather than the larger barrel affect the integrity of the wheel. Imagining some crazy camber, the wheel balances on the inner edge of the wheel, therefore the larger part of the wheel (the barrel).
