E46 Coilover query

Guys I recently fitted coilovers to my E46 Touring, the problem is when i turn there is a noise as if the spring is jerking round! Should there be a washer between where the top of the spring seat and the bottom of the top mount? Thanks

Did you tighten the center nut using an impact gun?

Yeah don't do that haha.

Try loosening it up and tightening by hand. It think it only has to be somewhere around 80ft/lbs. an impact gun does like double that lol

Could be your end links too, when I did my coilovers, I couldn't get one side tight and sounded like my spring was moving around. Turns out sway bar end link was loose. Could be worth checking.
