Exclamation In dash navigation

i have a mk3 golf and i wanted to know if its possible to put a navigation system in. I only see people with flip out screens or taking out the heat vents to make it fit.Is there any other way possibly?

I dunno man, not a golf person.
I guess having a Garmin stuck to your dash isn't clean enough?

I don't really see the point of retrofitting navigation into an old car, what with you kids and your fancy smartphones it will just be obsolete in a couple of years.

Moore's law bro.

Use the European taxi center console that deletes the cupholders in front of the shift boot, and put a double-DIN unit there. It's way out of the way and hard to see, and unless you're in 2nd or 4th, you can't get a disc in or out of most units. But its' been done.

Personally I think its' pointless.
