  • proper way to strech a tire at home

noob question, ive seen alot of videos on tire stretching but none of them really go into the step by step process. This is what ive gathered so far

Step 1- lay wheel upside down
Step 2-spray brake cleaner/hair spray along the whole circumfrence of the inner tire.
Step 3- spray a line down part of the tire
Step 4- light it then give it a quick bump
Step 5- have air compressor ready to inflate tire as soon as it beads

    Is this correct? Thanks guys

Sounds right to me. Just make sure you don't burn the tire.

I'm guessing to serve as a fuse.

That makes sence, lol but wouldnt it be better to just throw a match near the inner part of the tire or use a long nozzle butane lighter instead of starting a fuze line on the tire to eliminate the burning of the tire?

You wouldn't burn the tire itself, you're just burning the hairspray / brake cleaner / what have you.

Take some hairspray, spray it on your hand, light it on fire... your hand hardly even warms up before the spray is gone. Same goes for the tires.

Oxygen and acetylene works great... just be careful.
It's like rock-crawling... in the streets...

before you light it give the tyre a kick to help the air/fuel mix and get all rowdy then light the bitch and boom stetch
