Just a Mercedes W124

This is my Mercedes W124 230E.

Bought this car in September when my Opel Vectra broke down.

When i bought it (and after i changed the wheels ofcourse )




Wheels: ASA DM3 (licensed by BBS) 8x18 3-piece.

Testing my OZ Futura 9 + 10x17 in the snow, after I changed to 45mm lowering springs (and some stupid bucket lights..)




The wheels are sold now.. Probably shouldn't have sold them.
That's why I bought new Futuras a month later




These are Porsche wheels, 8,5 + 9,5 x 18" (ET: High!)

But because of the high ET on the new Futuras, and I wanted 16 or 17", I bought new wheels again!
This time it is RH Topline AA 9 + 10x17 with 205/40 and 215/40. Quite happy with the look

When you hit the share button on Flickr, it'll let you pick a resolution to post the photo in.

The car looks great, BTW. Heckblendes are really growing on me on the pre-facelift models.

I do like the look with the RH's but the fist set of Futura's made it stand out more I guess...

And I think there was nothing wrong with the bucket lights

Oh and t.b.h. I demand you to put the horizontal chrome trim back in the grill. I don't care if it is your car or not, but one does not simply remove those trims from a w124's grill

Nevertheless, It's clean and neat. So I like.

Yeah, I know... But there was one dented lip, and one welded barrel + bad paint +++ But still I would like them back

I had one on mine. Actually I still have it. They are made out of shitty cheap chromed plastic though, but look the part indeed!
I switched over to an OEM one with the grey internals sprayed black

What do you all think about 8x16" BBS RS's?
