Not liking a car or overlooking a car simply because the suspension is movable is silly. It won't be "just another bagged VW", it will be my car, but lower!
Same could apply to a lot of things. Just another dumb VW on BBS, just another dumb BMW on coilovers. It shouldn't be the suspension that makes a car special, the car should have something about it to make it work, suspension is just another piece of the puzzle. Is calling a bagged, but otherwise stock car cool, lame? Yes, but so is calling a well put together car, dumb, just because it is on air.
Why? Well, because I want my car to be lower and more practical as a DD. Bags are the perfect way to accomplish both of those. Car will be driven lower than its current height and will still be driven 365, snow or shine.
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons
Sincerely,
The Wagon Mafia:Inner Circle
P.S. Is your tail a wagon?
I always get a little sad when I see a nice static VW turn to air. It's not a bad thing, I even own a bagged mk5, but with static setups becoming rarer, and rarer, it bums me out a bit.
Edit: that being said, Air is really awesome when dailying a car and it looks hekka good
That's the way I think. If I wanted a high performance car, I wouldn't own a FWD VW. Why not make it easier to drive every day, still looks good at shows, etc.
