I have an E90 XI with H&R coil overs, my springs are like 8 inches, and the rates are super low. I dont bottom out my struts at all, so my plan is to order 5 inch springs from swift springs, with 10k/12k rates, because i thought if the spring was stiff enough to not move much, the strut would do less work. Am i incorrect? I realize the strut is being pushed by going lower then it is designed, but wont it still take a while to blow if the rates are just right, not too high and not too low? I appreciate the help.
