  • Best 195/45/16 to stretch?

    Sup,

So I got S drives for my Hayashis and they don't seem to seal right around the bead to lip. Dunno why. I'm just trying to get some that will seat right. Any suggestions? Is there anything I'm doing wrong or I should check? Thanks

S drives have very stiff side walls. They aren't that good for stretching

What would be a better tire to go with?

I really tried to make them fit. They only want to seal up at 70 psi. That's way too damn high. I was thinking federals or something but I'm not sure.

Are you saying that to get the bead mounted you had to inflate the tire to 70 psi? That's pretty normal for a stretched tire.

You can drop the pressure after that. I would suggest leaving it up for a few days and heat cycle the tires to give the lubricant a chance to dry, and the rubber will get used to being warped, so they wont debead. I had to inflate my hankooks to 70 psi to mount them, but now I run them at 50 psi and its fine.
