  • 1986 Vauxhall Nova Saloon

I'm new to Stance Works, but not to Vauxhall Nova ownership.

I'm on my third (and hopefully final) one.

I know what a lot of you will all have to say about an old Nova...
...but there's something about them that I love, and that's all that matters.

I purchased the car about a year ago with the hopes to get stuck right in and start making her my own. But, for the first time, I just wanted to spend a little time enjoying her in standard form.

I started tidying a few bits up. Generally just cleaning, polishing/waxing everything and adding a few shiny bits to the engine bay.

An even tidier Vauxhall Nova Sport won the cup in the end...

I was then invited for a bit of a photo shoot with Flat Out Media.
(I look a little like Barry from the film Four Lions in the photos...)

I then started thinking about future plans.
I think I want to go for a simple, clean look.
            So I purchased a different, de-badged grill.

All plans have now been put on hold as I was hit from behind by a van filled with contractors...

So this is how she stands at the moment. Awaiting the fate of the insurance assessors...

Woah, cool car. I can see why you've had two others. You should paint the greyish plastics gloss black, that would make it look much better. Hope the damage isn't too expensive.

Just realised I had not updated this thread in a very long time.
I decided to build an air ride suspension system on the car, the car now looks like this:

I now intend to work out how to do a better boot build, involving hard lines...
