  • Meech got another e36

I haven't been active on the forum recently, in august I sold my Boston green coupe to some asshole in Mass. who still has one of my wheels. for a short time I had a bagged 740il and finally sold that and picked up another e36, this time a 328i sedan, black on tan, sport package, and HiFi sound. It is actually my best friends old sedan that he sold when he joined the army and after 2 years I bought it back.

Here is my vert, my first build on here.

Here is my coupe I sold that you might remember.

And this is after a 2.5 hour drive home in a blizzard

Wanted to try and do this car at a higher level of parts quality and more useful than my last 3 e36's. I had some money saved up and decided to spend it all on a 20 year old crappy bmw lol

I went with Fortune auto 500's, it was a toss up between them and Browdway static but I really wanted to have useful car not a stance machine thats hard to live with. IM sure you have all. heard how good these coilovers are. The quality of the machining, the anodization and all the included hardware is just phenomenal. Dealing with the customer service and the technical support was literally the best of any company I've ever felt with. If you are on the fence between any other coilover BUY THESE
    Fortune auto 500
    f: 12k
    r:16k 5in length (requested after purchase )

I had a nice set of 17x9.5 A.R.E. 2 piece wheels, but the asshole (Raymond Campo, Revere Massachusetts IG: 5x120) still has one and refuses to mail it back to me even after i paid the shipping costs. so basically the other 3 are useless, Long story short searching craigslist near my school found an awesome deal on a freshly powder coated set of Blitz Z1 17x8.5 5x114 and scooped them up. The lips need some love but they are in great shape otherwise.

I picked up a Recaro SPG XL (6"2" 250lbs lol) and a Driftworks seat mount. The seat mount is awesome, sets you super low in the car, if you are short don't buy it loll can hardly see over the steering wheel and I'm by no means short. super sold seat base though and I'm happy with it. I don't have many pictures from the install, I was working alone, and really just wanted to get it taken care off. So enjoy these pictures. I need to order smaller rear adapters so I can lower the rear, but the front is about where I want it.

I installed an OMP steering wheel and a 3,23 LSD and love them both. Im still looking for a half cage if anyone knows of one, and I have Cams, intake, and a tune to still install.

I know my pics are huge and they from an iPhone lol.. but ill update some more as parts roll in and I get back home on spring break.

Not really sure whats up with S|W recently seems to be under maintained idk ill still post even though nobody looks.

Its been a little while but I have a few updates. I messed with a few sets of adapters and ended up going with some 20mm eBay ones. The Ichiba ones I paid $130 for where trash, didn't fit the hubs the bolts where too long and hit the parking break and honestly where no better quality than the $49 eBay ones (both 12.9 grade zinc hardware) but that allowed me to lower the rear for MORE STANCEEEEEE. While I was in there I replaced some junk reman axle for a lower milage OEM axle( if you followed my old build you know all about cheap axles lol)

Spent 2 full days learning hoe to do "paint correction" I used a harbor freight high speed buffer and some cheap compounds from advanced auto. Turned out great honestly, it was hard at first to get the pressure speed and amount of product all balanced but I'm very happy.

Also took a chance on an eBay fiberglass lip from some small country in Europe and its sick. I was trying to be a good boy, and be proactive and I reinforced its with a bunch of fiber glass Mat because the lip was LOW.

I adjusted the preload all around and got the coils set up a little better (I love FA 500's, super happy) and I think it all has turned out awesome.

2 days in the inevitable happened...
              .

Couple zip ties and its fine, I'm going to re fiberglass it but I ran out of time since spring break was over. So thats really it for now. the car is awesome. Hoping to have the cams in by the end of may, but we will see.

I didn't expect it to last too long, lucky fiber glass is east to work with so I'm just going to keep fixing it lol

Thanks man, I'm loving the 4 door. I just kinda lost interest in the shape and style of the coupe.
