This was just up for sale a couple months ago! The car got traded around, and now I have it and have been putting some work getting this thing cleaned up, but I really feel bad driving this through a MN winter, and i'm in need of a truck!

Here's the info on the car, (taken from previous FS thread)


1998 BMW 740IL
Odometer 184,xxx I got another odometer with it and this one had all the pixels replaced so I do not know if it is the correct mileage or not. I am not really too concerned though because there is no engine or transmission problems.
Recent maintenance (done in last 5k)-
•All control arms
•Both front speed sensors
•Brakes pads and rotors all the way around
•Heater control valves and new hoses
•Valve cover gaskets
•Intake gaskets
•Oil separator
•Transmission was replaced 20k ago
There is probably more but I am forgetting
Also, brand new tires all the way around.

Problems-
•The navigation does not work. It needs a new module and I had a MKIV unit it and I decided that it wasn't that great so I sold it to buy other things.
•Headliner sags (I had fabric to replace it but I'm not going to keep putting money into a car that is getting sold)
•Paint isn't perfect but that is a given from most 14 year old cars
•Front bumper has a crack (has had it since I bought it)


Now to the air system (everything has less than 5k miles on it)-
•Dual Viar 444 compressors
•5 Gallon Tank
•8 valve diaphragm manifold
•Air odyssey digital gauges
•AVS chrome 7 position switch box
•Front Bilstein struts with a dual bellow bag and a custom strut mount
•Rear is a sleeve bag made by Bagyard (has a Bilstein strut that has been revalved for specific air suspension use.
•Any kind of questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Car also has black kidneys and all the chrome is blacked out. Grill is an actual black grill and chrome is covered by black out tape so it can always return to chrome very easily.
the car is now an inch and a quarter, I would say, lower now. The oilpan is 1/4inch off the ground when air out. When the car is aired up it can go up past stock ride height.

Nothing has changed on the car, besides me fixing the leaking PS resivour, fixing the navigation, re-glueing the headliner and extending the air gauge so it's not flopping around the back seat.....

I just posted a recent picture, it actually looks Better than the Flickr pictures, because had it buffed and the wheels polished up nice! But I know Davis pretty well and he takes really good pictures!

I'll write up a new add if you want me to, but I think you did a great job explaining the air ride set up.

This thing is priced to sell, take a look at the 740i FS on this page! About the same miles and more $$ ! And its not an IL!
