but with just rolling you gain in most cases just enough to clear the wheels.

Not really an update, but just wanted to keep you guys posted
Wheels are back from powdercoater.
Also the new tires arrived, along with a new set of spacers and wheelbolts. The spacers are just replacements of the ones I was using, 0,5 cm (0.2 inch) and 1 cm (0.39 inch) because I suspect the old ones of being curved and causing vibrations in the car. In the future I'm considering 2.5 cm spacers in the rear (1 inch) to get a little poke going on.
New tires are Falken Azenis FK453 in 215 35 19 for the front, 245 30 19 for the rear.
In the meantime, while waiting for some better weather to start, I went to my first meeting of the year. Just some Bimmer, Benz and Audi enthousiasts getting together. Got some surprisingly good reactions on my winterwheels

Summerpreps
Well, springtime is coming, so I had to prepare the car for season 2K15. I guess the previous owner never took the time to detail the car. Neither did I, untill now.
First of all, I did the wheels. Washed after mounting the new tires. After drying I applied a layer of Rimwax.
Tires mounted
I ordered some new forged centercaps, because the original ones looked a bit cheap.
Washy washy
Wax on
Wax of
Stored and waiting to mount
Then the weekend came, so I had some time to spare for some polishing.
Masked the rubbers (somewhat)
Girlfriend came to watch, so gave her a buffing towel
I used Meguiars Ultimate compound, then second time Ultimate Polish. Pretty happy with the result. For the wax I had to park the car inside, because this is Belgium and it has to rain at some point in the day...
Eveneing fell, but finally we were done
The next day we could see it had payed off
The moment I've been waiting for had arrived : Throwing the wheels back on!
First another quick layer of rimwax, and some tiredressing
Totally different car!
Shiny @ work
Then this happened :
Nothing big, just hit a rock or something... Pretty weird experience when the car jumps up for no particular reason :P Strange enough that is the only damage... Had it fixed with a hammer pretty quick.
Then this weekend there was the first official meet of the season : Heaven On Wheels.
Car wash before entering
At the meet
Meanwhile I've ordered a new update . A wheel bolt to nut conversion kit. I'm waiting for that to arrive, so I can start to figure out what spacers I'm going to need for the rear.
That was all for now

Coilovers are pretty descent. Only downside is they're a bit stiff. I'm considering a KW V3, wich is adjustable in damp as well.

How do you find the ride of the KW V1s? The retain the OEM top mounts right? I really want to drop my 530d m sport, but only around 25-35mm more as its a daily, so would like some comfort.
Also, whats it like for adjusting the camber back within reasonable spec?

Well, to be honest, the ride's quite bumpy from time to time. Roads here aren't that well maintained. But when the roads are good, the ride is pretty smooth. I drive this as a daily, and I've got somewhat less comfort then some people woul'd be happy with. But it's fine with me.
Top mounts are retained indeed.
If you're looking to drop just 25-35 mm, I'd consider a set of shortened springs instead of a coilover set. That way you keep the OEM comfort with the sporty look of a subtle drop.
My rear camber is maxed out with OEM camber adjustment. Just one screw you have to turn loose and adjust
