2009 Ford Focus: KSport or H&R?
Okay so I have a 2009 Ford Focus SES coupe. I am seriously considering coilovers to replace my OEM suspension. This car is my daily driver so I'm not going to completely slam it, but I'd like to take a couple inches away from the ground clearance.
I have talked to someone who has a set of KSport Kontrol Pro Damper Series coilovers on his 2008 Focus and I have also talked with someone who has a set of H&R Street Performance coilovers on a 2009 Focus.
The KSports no longer come with the top hat (camber adjustment). I got quoted $839, from Never Enough Auto in Michigan. I was told by the owner of the KSport coilovers that I would need to purchase adjustable camber arms, toe arms, and endlinks. Also the coilovers are said to be for the 2006-2007 Ford Focus. I need to confirm that the 2006-2007 aftermarket suspension is exactly the same as the 2008-2011.
The H&R coilovers also do not come with the top hat (camber adjustment). I found these for $1,062 plus shipping costs on Tire Rack. The person I talked with about these essentially described them as plug and play. Not mentioning any need of adjustable camber arms, toe arms, or endlinks. These actually say that they are for the 2008-2011 Ford Focus.
I understand that this is a lot of information to digest, but if anyone has any advice, tips, tricks, wisdom, anything. Please don't hesitate to post. Thanks in advance for the help guys!
