2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS
I purchased this car as a salvage rebuild with 1,000 miles on it in 2006. During the first few years of owning it I went through the armature mods phase just to make it different then stock. The influence of my VW buddies began to change my modding taste over time and I started to crave the ‘oem plus’ look. I was originally all about practicality with my first coilover setup, choosing performance over aesthetics, but as all of my other friend’s cars dropped closer and closer to the ground, so did the Impreza.
I’ve been friends with Will Fisher since childhood (known as fishmando to some on here) and he’s been a big inspiration for my automotive addiction and growing love of all things low and fitted. When he offered to help me design and build a custom set of Impreza air struts, I had to take him up on it. The results are below.
Owner/ Designer: Kevin McGovern
Photography: Will Fisher and Rali Kepchar at Bag Riders
Special thanks to Eric Senecal and Will Fisher for helping with the design and install, and Alistair Parker for all the welding.
