  • FS: 1992 Jetta ABA turbo

I know most people on this site live in the USA, but maybe I can still gather interest for the car... Its located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Here's a rundown of the mods done to it:

    -ABA 2.0l 1995 engine with Garrett TB2522 (Sunbird turbo) @ 9 psi
-C2 chipped ECU, 440cc/min injectors, VR6 MAF and K&N filter
-Aluminum IC piping, FMIC tucked nicely behind the bumper. Bumper is unmodified
-Short ratio transmission (AWY, 3.94:1 final) with Clutchnet clutch
    -2.25" EuroSport exhaust
-2.5" steel downpipe. Painted and heat wrapped
-Raceland coils, R32 front control arm bushings
-Porsche 928 wheels, 16x7 et 16x8 with adapters, tires are Falken Ziex ZE-512 in 205/40/16
-Spare wheels: 12 hole VW steelies 14x6 with Federal SS-595 tires in 185/55/14
-Interior with GTI seats, Leather Momo wheel, VDO boost gauge, redone headliner with a zebra pattern fabric
-Green LED dash lighting. (keeps the period-correct look but its brighter and crisper)
-Single round front end with fluted smoked crosshair headlights (e-code, metal/glass and H4). Relayed light harness with 14 ga. wire.
    -Richard Grant hood scoop

I also have a black foam Flair/early GLI spoiler that I'm giving with it.

I always took good car of this car, it was never abused even if its got a lot of ponies under the hood. I also never drove this car during the winter since I own it.

Its a really cool car to drive, feels solid, kinda quick, gets compliments everywhere!

However, its still a 21 year old car. Its got a few dings and dents, the paint is far from perfect (good from far though) and its got a small rust hole above the gas cap area. Can't see it if the cap is closed, only a small 0.75" bubble. It also has 3-4 surface rust spots on the body, but they have been treated with POR-15. Since I haven't driven this car in the winter, the rust didn't really "grow" since I bought it in 2008.

The only bad thing mechanically is that a few weeks ago it started burning oil occasionnaly on idle only. It doesn't smoke at all when you drive. It doesn't burn a big enough amount to add oil.

I did all the mods myself, so you can ask me any question you want about the car. Contact me by email at laurentbernuy@gmail.com or by PM. You can also check out my build thread for a ton more pictures:
