Default another damn e28

i figured i'd start a thread for my e28.
it all started about two years ago when i bought another 535is. it didn't look any good to me at first, but i aimed to change that.

bought some new parts:
Gotti's 16x7.5 +16 front, 16x8 +10 rear

B&G 1.4" lowering springs and Bilstein HD shocks and struts

Hella super-tones

threw it all on the car and it turned out a pretty good (shitty iphone pictures)

i cut the springs a bit more, swapped in some euro headlights, put some 7" hella fog lights on the roof rack, sucked in the bumpers, and stripped them, and decided to get rid of that IS valance and get something with a chin

i branded her

i finally got tired of the bumpy ride from the cut springs and started to look around for some coilovers at a decent price. most coilovers for the e28 were pricey, but i found some nex's that were surprisingly reasonable. i read a story or two about how bad they were, but some e34 guys seemed to like them alot so i figured i'd give them a shot.

they looked good quality wise, so i proceeded to install...

threw my ireland engineering street camber plates on

cut and welded the fronts

put a skidplate on for more protection

i drove the car on coils for about a month and i was very impressed with the ride quality and i'm glad to say nothing has broke on me, but shortly after the car sat why i was traveling around the east coast and such. i did happen to pick something up for it on the way back though...
17x8 fronts and 17x11 rears 5x130 porsche etoiles/gottis

i had to get these on immediately! so i bought some 20mm adapters and went for it.

the fronts fit fine with no problem, but i will admit the need to be pushed out a bit more

but the backs needed some massaging.

grabbed a fender roller for a buddy and attacked that fender, and i don't think i did to badly for my first time.

but finally got her on back on all fours and looking better than i could imagine

the other day i went to drain the oil from over 5 months of sitting and a shit ton of coolant came out first... dammit
so thats where i'm at today, currently taking the head off and replacing the gasket and some other small stuff. gonna get this thing back on the road and keep getting it ready for SOWO this year, can't fucking wait.

Car is coming along nicely. The white wheels flow really well with the car. If you don't mind me asking, where did you source your NEX coilovers from?

the new wheels are awesome! I don't know what to do about coilovers, build my own or buy the Nex's. they are about the same price but i'm worried with the NY roads the Nex's will be done in a short amount of time

I agree with everyone about the white wheels. They look great.
The E28 looks sweet so far, keep up the work!

i was skeptical at first about the white centers with the grey body, but i'm starting to liking it more. i bought the NEX coils off of ebay for $800.

yah i know how some of the roads are up there, but houston roads are no better. i haven't been able to put the coils to the real test on some really crappy roads yet lol

Thanks for the info on where you got them . Is that as low as they go on the last picture you posted? Or can you go lower if you wanted to?

no, i can lower in the front and back. it's just the front tires rub the fenders when i turn and i don't wanna tuck the rears. i am gonna try to go lower for the hell of it soon though

well, i had good intentions for it and all. i lowered it(cut springs) and threw some 16x10's with 205's on it to see what it would look like.

i loved the way it looked, but i lost interest and i already have enough cars as it is so i gave it to my younger bro for his first car.
