Default BawwStin Grun: It haz begun...

Herro... Um Hai.

Some might remember my 98 Boston Green E36 328i. More here: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=10697

then to this:

Well, May hadn't been a good month for us. 1st, my car was hit while parked and the AHole who did it, took off. Left me with:

Being a Dad, I needed a car to transport teh kiddos around and couldn't get a rental. So I called my lil bro to swap me his 540i/6 for my Gixxer for a few days:

Well, the next night (less than 24hrs) I get a call. .......

At this point, I think I'm assed out. Soooooo.... I got my ass moving!

Picked up a rental (2011 Malibu) and squared the bike away:

With that out the way, I could relax a little. I decided at this point.... It was time to get the E36 looking better than it did before. Working at a shop part time nowadays (might go back fulltime) I was going to do the work myself. I work during the days elsewhere, so this has to be done 3-4hours a day at a time. So as soon as I found out the Ins. Co. wasn't going to help me at all, I set out immediately to get it back up and going...............

It has begun:

(white dots is masking tape. Marked off my dings)

To just re-fresh the body, and replace the Canyons with the summer set-up Mitto's. Keeping factory pretty much. Might just shave off the "328i" emblem thats about it. I'd like to keep it as clean as possible.

I know, but gets covered up when sanding. Heck, I got a specialty pen just for circling dents. This way works for me too.

Cleaning up my Impro Headlights. "Might" french (yelllow) the highs.... "Might" not. Undecided at the moment.

After I get through the bodywork, I will get back to working on these:

Sorry for the delay in updates....... Been doing Werk.

to primer:

Sanded that down:

Then I started to add a twist. A custom pearl base color that has it's own flip to it.

More tomorrow as it took 2 days to paint, and I forgot the cam on the 2nd day. I painted the coats of Boston Green over the custom base and cleared it already. Just have to get the wheels on, then off the jackstands/light wetsand/Buff and put everything back on.

Thanks.. Going to get cracking on the Mitto's asap. Should have a choice on color soon.

Black, silver or charcoal.

Oh... and a close up of how the color looks. A little dust in the pics, 'cause I couldn't wash it then. it had only been painted for less than 24hrs at the time of this pic.

Time. Wish I had alot of that.

This entire ordeal cost me a lot more than just cash. Wish I can have at least 1 day back for myself. Can't complain tho... It's gone this far.

Still have the wheels to do, as well as some maintenance. I also have dug up my rack, as I just got my daughter another bike. Thinking of restoring that too.

They're FSM .5lb DTM Real CF mirrors. I do admit tho they are a love or "dis-Like" item, but I always liked them. Probably the only body mod that would be done to the car... only 1 in 2 years, so don't worry about a bodykit or 1 piece headlights showing up here
