I have an airlift 75562 kit and I was welding it together and I did some welds on the side of the shock behind the lower mount for extra strength and a pin hole opened up on the factory weld on the bottom of the shock so all the compressed gas caught fire an shot out all over my arm, so all my hair on my arm is gone and I'm missing hair on my head but that's fine it will grow back but I need a new shock so do you think airlift will warranty it or am I going to have to order a new shock somehow?

Said pin hole
On the other shock I welded all the way down to the weld and on the shock that exploded I welded all the way down on one side and when I went to weld the other side of it I barely started and then it exploded. Btw I was welding like airlift instructed, 3/4 of an inch and then dunk it in water to cool, I welded 3/4 set it in a bucket then grabbed the other side and welded 3/4 then switched.

What happened to the adapter tube that was provided with the kit? The factory weld that you burned through is done before the strut is gas charged and should NEVER be welded on.
Page 7 of the install manual explains that you must weld the adapter tube to the strut body 2.5" or more from the bottom of the assembly, then any brackets/tabs are supposed to be welded to that.

You can see the strut tube in this pic, I extended the opening for the adjustment knob down 1 3/4 and cut an inch or so off the bottom of the housing so I can make the setup as low as possible.
The reason I raised the tube up the shock body as much as possible because my car is weird and the steering arm is on the shock, so I had to mount that to the strut tube and I incorporated an 1.5in drop since I'm going to be doing the same to my lower mounting point to correct suspention geometry.
I figured I messed it up but I asked if it was warranty just because and she told me no so I asked how much for a new one.
