  • New Racing Harts for my sc300 - opinions?

I'm currently in the middle of a rebuild on my 92 sc300. I just picked up a set of 2-piece Racing Harts from 2002 19x10 +22 and 19x8 +?. Got them for $100. They need the old Plasti-dip stripped off the front 2, but over all clean wheels. Two questions -

    1. I know they should stick out on my sc300 or my is250 awd but can anyone suggest a tire size?

    2. Are these considered real? and worth having refinished? I only paid $100 so I'm good either way but not sure if they are worth putting any extra money into.

Yeah, those are worth saving and refinishing. Classic wheels in great sizes.

What he said, I say leave the centers black and polish the lips. Boom instant classic!

I'd save them. Do a proper refinish of them. Take them apart if you can.

Personally, you can never go wrong with a metallic silver face, polished lips, and gloss black barrels.

It's crazy how cheap these wheels sell for these days, I picked up a set for 300$ and flipped them for 700 and that was all I could get! They are an awesome looking wheel it's just the work wheel hype that's driving down other styles right now.

Id say fully brushed centers with tinted clear over them and polished lips. They would look so clean against the your black sc300

Check to see if the offset is stamped on the back of one of the 8" front wheels. If it is, just post it here and I can tell you what size spacer to run in order to match the fitment in the rear.

If it isn't stamped, then put the wheel face-up on a flat surface, measure it from edge to edge (should be about 9"), and then measure from the inner edge of the wheel to the hub face. Take both measurements to the nearest 0.25".

Tires wise, I would run a 265/35/18 and a 215/40/18 with cut fenders. Run a Lance alignment.

If I were you on the finish, I would go balls out refinishing them with no expense spared because you got them for so cheap already. The cool kids these days are running brushed+clear coated centers, chrome lips, and satin black barrels.

Just be patient... get something more aggressive.
