Just to give a quick low-down on tires:

The 225 index means the width of the tire in millimeters. An 8.5" wheel is 215.9mm wide. (1in = 25.4mm). So your tire is +10mm over the width of your wheel.

The 40 index refers to the sidewall of the tire, which is calculated like this: 225mm*0.40 = 90mm. Divide 90 by 25.4 to convert to inches, multiply by 2, add that to 18, and you get a 25.1" tire. That is usually considered higher profile.

Ok, all that being said, we need more info to determine what you need. Finding the solution to your problem depends on where you are scraping. Are you running low offset wheels that are scraping on the fenders, or are they higher offsets similar to OEM that are scraping on something else? Pictures speak a thousand words, so provide those if you can and I will help you out.

      Hi thanks Nate

I am scraping on the fender. The plastic that's inside the gender of that makes sense. I will supply images as soon as possible. Just if you can estimate what profile tyres should I get? Again I'll provide images as soon as possible
