  • OE+ project clean (daily). - UK.

    Last year i brought myself this Vauxhall Vectra C (SRi with XP exterior pack), as a daily motor. The body work on it is outstanding, so its a good platform to work from. I haven't really done much to the car so far, other than keep it super clean (Every weekend, a few hours are spent on it). As some of you know, i also have a Nova Saloon / Corsa TR, on KW coilovers, which is very stiff, so its lovely to hop into this after driving that. Its like driving on a cloud!

    This year, i aim to get a few things done to it to make it look that bit smarter. Coilovers, spacers etc. Until then, here are a few shots from the cleaning session this weekend;

    *Update*

    Coilovers landed today, so tonight after work we got them fitted (Finally).

    Once properly settled, i plan to lower the front end some more, to get more front rake (**** level or back raking ride heights!).

    Really good quality for £200. Unbelievable for the money!

        I like the body style. Have no idea why or what it is though. Let the slammage ensue.

          It's a Vauxhall Vectra (Opel Vectra in Europe), it was GM's competitor in the mid size saloon market (VW Passat size). Not as successfull though and has since been replaced with the Insignia (you guys in the US know it as a Buick Regal).

            Ahhhhh the Vectra, what a mixed bag of emotions that car is. My dad used to have one, it was the quickest car he's ever owned and I remember doing a few Autobhan runs in it. Good times! That was until the radiator blew up and it all went downhill...

            Props on keeping it clean! Makes me want to detail my car again.

            Good progress so far, keen to see it on some wheels. Also, personally I think you should put the Vauxhall badge back onto the boot, it'll make it a bit more classy and put something into that massive empty panel.

                Cheers dude. I didn't really plan on having a Vectra, but for how much it was, and how mint it was, I thought why not! 😬

                    I would love to, but it's used daily, so I don't wanna go crazy - Got my Nova for that. Here it is!

                      Quick update.

                      Had a play around with the front ride height today before getting it tracked. Got her sitting pretty well for daily use (May go lower, we'll see how long it takes me to get bored of this ride height)

                        i'll be lowering it some more this evening when i get home from work.

                        It's settled now, and i'm happy with how it sits, but it needs to go down more

                          Had quite a few problems with the car since my last update.

                          Long story short.... myself and a few friends did a road trip to the driving roads in Wales, known as the Evo Triangle. I know its no track car, but i was giving it everything at the Evo Triangle, and it seemed to stick to the road very well with its new set up. Towards the end of the trip, we had one last blast, which is where my diff decided it no longer wanted to be where its supposed to be. Catastrophic bang, smoke & oil everywhere from the gearbox. Got recovered home and sorted out a reconditioned gearbox for it, and we're all good.

                          Some pictures from the Evo Triangle;

                            Love the Vectras. It looks like you have a great one. You should buy some dark side indicators.
                            Which engine do you have?

                              Is the Evo triangle worth visiting?
