If by fan, you mean I fantasize about him being publicly shamed for the propagandist liar that he is, then yes I am one of his biggest.

So many that I could write you a novel... but for the sake of my fingers and your eyes, the man is a great example of the hypocrisy he preaches in his films. He talks about the wealthy getting richer, and how big oil is out to destroy the earth, and the Bush Admin put in motion the 9/11 attack for greed.... you know this man comes from wealth? He has a multi-million dollar lake property in Michigan, and one in NY.. those are the ones I'm just aware of. He flies private planes everywhere he goes... want to talk about eating up the ozone? Go burn through a couple of tanks in a Gulfstream (Al Gore can testify to that as well.) But yet, he portrays himself as the "everyman," championing and fighting for the lower class. He is a socialist who believes in the notion of distributing wealth to everyone.... except for the "elite" or "aristocracy" that deserve their social standing due to their efforts in making things fair for everyone else.

Here is the real question... if he is so set on destroying democracy, big oil, etc... does that not mean he could have a heavy stake in Al Gore's efforts to control energy on a global scale? Don't think this guy is making these movies solely out of conviction.. it's easy to pull on "heart strings" and get people emotionally involved... it's another thing to be transparent with facts as your base.

I could go on.. but let that mirinate some and consider all angles. Knowledge is power my friend.. don't let others opinions be your due diligence.

I definately see your point and believe it or not, agree with it, I shouldn't have made the thread title about Michael Moore himself but more about Independent documentaries in general about how screwed up the goverment is and politics in general.

^^^^^ is something we can talk about in spades. Without getting to deep into it, I don't care what side of the aisle you favor.. I'm of neither... I wouldn't be opposed to throwing them all out and replacing them with everyday business men, who know how to balance a checkbook on their own.

I will say this: the 2010 mid-term elections could arguably be the biggest election of our countries history. That is a strong statement... and I mean every bit of it. If you are of age to vote, then PLEASE register and vote!

Michael Moore and Al Gore......... I don't even want to say my true feelings on these two.BUT, I don't get how people who completely lie in their films and take so many statement out of context to be used as 'facts,' can actually sway the minds of their viewers. If you watch their movies, listen to their debates, or follow them on some sort of website, please do yourself a favor and cross-reference their information. You will find them to be wrong in almost all cases.... If not the whole 100% of the time.

Oh dear, politics. Lets not have a discussion about politics on here. StanceWorks is way to nice of a place to spoil with politics.

Although I love the fact that Rory says vote Republican, and he himself and his parents, hell his entire family are not American citizens. Just saying its extremely funny and ironic to me, seeing as his parents are from the UK.

When did I say I was opposed to drilling on American soil? America NEEDS to decrease its dependence on foreign oil, no matter what party you belong to, you must agree with that.
