  • Off-Road Appreciation

Since there's some good content being featured with Mikes trucks and whatnot. I figured since I didn't see a thread on here anywhere I'd start one, I know a lot of people on here just don't have cars as well.

    Picture to start off

    and my recent purchase. '88 W250, 4wd, 5.2L V8.

Not so much off-road but I was the only one to make it in to work today. Guess that's why I get to be the boss.

I do have to say, the FJ really makes driving in inclement conditions rather anti-climactic. It's nearly so good at it that it's just boring. At least with my early bronco there was stuff flying every which way and loud V8 noises to accompany the progression. With the FJ60 there were lots of creaks, moans, lurches, clicks and eventually to would magically crawl out of whatever you had driven into. With the FJ Cruiser simply lock the center diff and point in the direction you want it to go.

Surprised no one started a thread like this yet, I can finally share my jeep.

Got into the off-road game 4 years ago with a 2 door, then switch to a 4 door last year.

4 door is running 5.13 gears, rear air locker, front electronic stock rubicon locker, full bolt on evo spec king coilovers, 37s, beadlocks, cage....good daily driver

New tires. Added the bed cap. Spray painted the wheels and bumpers. Next is tackling the suspension.
