    • Duuuude, that bumper looks great! Ask your friends if he can make a Mk2 too

And finally some meat at the front. I think a 5mm spacer and it's perfect!

So after taking off the remaining connectors, fuel lines etc, the 1.0 is finally out. I went into this expecting it to take me most of the evening, it actually took me little over an hour. Nice work VW for making it this easy!

                  • Well, seeing as the engines out it made sense to clean the bay on my lunch break today!

Came up mint, next job is to pull the dash off and get this loom swapped!

Never again. WORST job i've ever undertaken.

All this effort just so i can remove these 5 plugs and replace my loom

Loom is being replaced tonight! by rights, if all goes ok, i could actually have the car back together by friday...

                            • Ok, more on last night

So, loom disconected, fed out of car

New loom in, small bit of tape to stop the wires being torn

                              Nice work, it's in!

Ah, fuck. I haven't taken any photo's of how the loom was routed around the heater matrix. So currently stuck on this bit, as i don't know which way i need to route it *Crying*

I'll hopefully have it done tonight fml

                              • Ok, so after spending a good hour getting my loom in nicely, i discovered one pretty massive mistake...

Managed to pass the loom under the brake and air line, absolutely fuming.

After spending 2 hours rectifying this fault just so the loom could sit 3 inches higher, the loom is now in.

And as of last night, the engine too. Result
