Well I finally decided to be brave and tackle the one task I have been putting off. In order to convert completely to usdm spec, I needed to drill the head out to add egr to the jdm head. I had to do it if I wanted any hope of getting through bar inspection.
Here I sacrificed a egr plate to sink a drill bushing so I could get a nice straight shot into the #6 exhaust port.
All of the holes machined out and the bolt holes helicoiled.

Nice project
While you are completely correct that a single turbo is usually cheaper for more power than either upgrading the stock twin setup or going to aftermarket big twins, if you are interested in keeping the stock look and potentially smog-legal... check out this: https://www.speedforsale.com/suprapa...f32e00f06a5382
There are options for either the JDM or USDM stock turbos (easier/cheaper with the JDM), and proven for 450 whp with only fuel upgrades, or up to 700 whp / 10 sec quarters / 130+ mph trap.

Just be wary of mission creep! My Supra back in the day went from completely stock to 71mm single with a built motor in one go

I have just started to wrap up the motor and it is now ready to put back into the car. I have also pulled the rear axle out and have modified the rear brake lines to make way for the irs suspension. Everything is starting to come together for this project.

Well I finally got motor in and I can't wait to get this project going. I put in a new flywheel and south bend stage 3 endurance clutch. The motor has been completely swapped to usdm spec. Now I just have to do some plumbing and wiring to get it going!
