Also the history is a massive plus, I proper geek out over that sort of stuff

Did the person you buy it from mention why they were getting rid of it?
Yeah the documentation was certainly and added bonus I didn't even expect when I bought the car! The PO had bought another car and needed the room figured he'd pass this one forward, boy am I glad he did.

I love this. Definitely in for more. As a recently new owner of an M car that was also acquired through an Ebay ad that was stumbled across accidentally, I appreciate tremendously what you're planning to do. HREs are a fantastic period correct choice, and I'm heavily considering the GC coils for the E36. What made you go with them?

Its funny how that works, I guess we as people are always interested in what we can't have or what we weren't allowed to have. We in the U.S. would love to have all the different years and colors the European market was allowed to have!

Not that anyone cares, but here's a quick update. More Euro parts showed and wheels are 75% done. Parts came in the night before I went on vacation so I wasn't able to take any real pictures. For now here are some pictures of where the wheels stand now.

Here's the difference between one of my dirty barrels and one that's almost completely clean. These are original Hayashi Racing barrels. They don't appear to have ever been cleaned!
