They are from a 997.1 turbo. Work got in the way, they will likely go on tomorrow.

Yeah the car looked pretty decent in the adverts, I got pretty mad when I first saw it, I wanted that thing so bad, Shame about having to go through some much work to get it back here, only to have to pay top dollar for used parts to get it fixed, or insane shipping and duty prices on cheap parts.

In Canada, that car would never exist. Even fixer-upper 996 turbos go for more money then a same year mint Carrera in the states.

Canada really sucks for shit like this.

Got the 997.1TT wheels on, fronts are going to need a spacer.

    It's still filthy.

The "big red" brakes now look tiny and pink. Something has to be done about this.

Driver side rear was pretty much trashed.
I like the 997.1TT wheels better anyway.

    ^^^ exactly.

Moved cars around and got some better pictures, but then rubbed over them with sand paper. :thumbsup2:

    Update:
997 wheels look better than I anticipated
Delay in the 2WD process has the front hubs in pieces
    Dead battery
    New exhaust is almost complete

Continuing with the overall theme for this car and dropped 25lbs with a new battery. Still a big battery, so no need to worry about a tender or getting the car to fire immediately or be dead.

Flames out tips??? Amazing that the turbos are that close to the tips but go through such a huge stock muffler!

It is amazing how short the exhaust is on 911's. It should create fireballs from time to time.

Wouldn't it have been easier to check that the car was running/straight in AWD then go to the 2WD conversion?

    Turba.

It has/had some light damaged on the drivers rear fender/quarter panel. It kinda looks like its been sprayed with primer.

Just leaving it as is. The crappy pictures and super dirty car are deceiving, the entire car is the same color. But where it was hit has been popped out with a paintless dent remover. Can't see the damage from 5ft out, but if you're looking for it, you can clearly see it. Doesn't bother me at all to have a 996TT with some carnage.

Not really. It doesn't affect the car getting it ready, the biggest downtime was for the development of 2WD conversion parts, which should be out in a month or so.

Onto today, I finally took the car out of the garage and get a decent drive in on my way to/from an alignment (which didn't happen). As usual, my phone couldn't cope with the lighting conditions, so I'm left with crap, but you get the idea.

(not a handicap spot, just next to it)

    (turbo problems)

After the ride across town, the shop couldn't adjust caster on the 996TT, so I didn't get an alignment. But I found out that the inner tires rub on the coilovers, so I'm going to pick up a set of 7mm spacers for the rear wheels. I decided to see the power difference between the TT and n/a and immediate blew off a charge pipe. NBD, but now I have to figure out a better way to secure the pipe.
