Looks like he's talking about doing selective yellow lenses like on the E39 he linked to:



Two options most people go with for selective yellow lenses. The first is to use a film of some sort, like Lamin-X. The other is to use Dupli-color Metalcast Yellow paint, like Daniel Stern recommends.

In either case, you're looking at cracking open your headlamp housings if you're just wanting to coat the lenses.

There also may be aftermarket headlamps on the market that have this look, but I'm not enough of an E39 expert to say either way.
