It's cool seeing your dream come true through this car.
Sometimes I wish for a blank check, so I could just buy the shiniest wheels, and the wildest parts... but then I settle down in the old rocking chair by the window with a warm tin of beans at the end of a hard day's work and I realize.... its all in the struggle.

Also my old time friend bought an e36, twinsies.

Is a plan to fix the hole in the hood being made or still gonna rock it?
as for the hood... the people have spoken. everyone hates the hood.
i will get one without a hole in it. nobody wants to look at my beautiful engine
i will hide it from sight, never to be seen again

It rained this weekend, so I couldn't do "outside things".
Walked into the garage... saw the hood, and decided it was time.
Spent at least a couple hours getting the webbing cut out to clear the engine.
Finally got it done.
Then took it out on the highway. As soon as I hit 60mph, the scoop insert flew up into the air, and then shattered upon landing.

Much better with no more huge hole, hope finding another insert is not too much of an headache
Will keep my eyes open for another scoop, but if I dont have any luck, I may attempt piecing it back together.

Been driving the car, slowly calming down about it, and starting to see through the initial haze of excitement.
There has been a weird misfire I've been chasing. Replaced plugs and wires, that wasnt it. Next up was distributor, so that took all of Saturday. Had to pull all hoses, water pump, and harmonic balancer just to get to it. New one is black.
Took it out for a spin that night. Seemed better.....
Cost update: Optispark Distributor w/Mitsubishi Optical Sensor: +$400
Total so far: $14,450.00
