Started making progress on my wheel bolts. Wanted to use the OEM BBS bolts, but want gold. So I've been told to powdercoat them gold they need to be shiny. (Either chrome first, or polish first.)

So... bought a tumbler (I can use it for other shit too!)

Here you can see how shitty the bolts were.

And they came out clean and ready for polishing! Polished on the left. Tumbled on the right.

Nice! These cars are a lot of fun/easy to work on.

Helped my friend do the 1.6 dash swap in his car as well. Looks SO much better and dropped a lot of weight.

Yeah, paint is supposed to get here tomorrow so I'll probably prep them tonight. But idk if it will be delivered or not since we're getting a snowstorm.

Got stuck yesterday in my Gti in like 4 inches of snow. I think I need a new daily.

Two flares are done. The paint job is pretty shitty I have to admit. I think it's too cold. You can see they aren't really glossy. They'll due until I paint the whole car though.

Got my genuine leather center console cover from Redline Goods. Also ordered lips from The Tuner Shop today. Just two 3.5" lips for now to see how they fit. For the fronts they'll probably be perfect, but I may need 4" for the rear. So we'll see once they get here.

Lips got here today. Really happy with the quality from The Tuner Shop. Going to test fit these soon. Then I'll make a decision on rear sizing. I need to finish polishing all these bolts and then take them to the powdercoater. Also have polished logo caps coming Saturday.
