Unexpected Update!
So ive been up at school in Utica so i havent been able to get anything done but today i had a little surprise. I went with one of buddies to a u-pick junk yard just for the hell of it and came out with a wheel barrow full of parts!
This my friends e46, just wanted to show it off a little
But this is what i came out with:
Full set of black door cards (been wanting to go to a full black interior) $32
BRAND NEW rotors, they were just sitting in a 325e! $20
And a set of high beams so i can have on set clear and one set yellow $6
So id say it was a solid (and cheap) day! More updates to come this weekend and suspension gets installed!Instagram: @GregKline55

HUGE UPDATE!
So today was the day that ive been waiting for for a very long time, COILOVERS! I got home this morning and instantly went to work on the car, i also brought my good friend Dave (another up and coming car sorcerer) (aka DavidD123) to help me out with the build. We had a big list of things to get done so with two people the work went quick, heres the to-do list!
So to get going on that last part i got these, Ground Control coilover conversion with 650lb in the rear and 440lb in the front.
Ill get started with the easy part first, the rear suspension. The rears were super easy; pull the old strut and remove the old spring but i didnt want to take anything apart to take out the old spring so i just cut it in half and yanked it out Then just press the adjustable perch on and put the spring in!
^as you can see i still need to sort out that damn exhaust lol ^
Now all i have to say is that living in the north east sucks balls cause they salt so much during the winter and makes everything rust like mad, so this made the front suspension a real pain in the neck!!! But me and Dave got at it!
Once we pulled the suspension and Dave hurt his shoulder trying take the springs off without spring compressors hahaha we found this, the caps that hold the struts in the housings were rusted on and wouldnt move!
After about three hours of using PB Blaster and a torch we got them off without harming the housings, i dont know how
Also this is the difference between the stock spring and the GC Spring, crazy how much smaller
Here are the strut housings after we got the old struts out and cut the old perches off
At that point it was getting late so we called it a day, everything is going to be finished tomorrow, and we will have it driving and scraping unibody
We did get some other things done today. I got some neverdull polish and did all the chrome on the car!
Also replaced the sway bar brackets while i was in there, bushings where all good so i didnt need to replace anything but i might do it in the near future anyway
