  • Another thing I'm curious about, what is the size of piping that MAF sensor was originally use for? if you decreased the diameter of piping (the velocity stack diameter lets say is 2 inches) It will read incoming air and do calculations for the stock intake pipe diameter (which may have been 3 inches) and tell the PCM that you are receiving more air than you are and will add the calculated amount of fuel accordingly, which will be rich as hell since you're actually only pulling a 2 inch pipe amount of air. This can all be calibrated in a standalone ECU by changing the MAF AD counts or MAF Hz depending on what type of sensor you are using. Basically you would get the car running on a base tune, dyno it and monitor your AFR's. Say it was running at 12:1 and you are looking for a 13:1 AFR, you would then change your MAF values accordingly to achieve a proper AFR and peak performance. If the MAF is a hotwire or film you will also want to run a set of filters because if any dirt or debris gets on the sensors probe it will contaminate it and give you skewed reading and potentially cause damage.

Thank you man, I get your point so I need to run standalone stead.
I saw the pic at the top from speedsters site, that is the kinda of aftermarket MAF.right?
What about dual injectors? If the ground signal from ECU apply to two injectors in the same time. I will open the IG+ to the aux injectors 8 units when the high rev.
      What is your opinion?
I just want it shooting flame
Sometimes can drive my daughter to school haha that it's.

      • This build is amazing. So much fabrication porn, keep up the good work!

        • It's very funny in that photo how they mounted the MAF in the only stack that has a notch made into it that can create turbulence LOL, I'm sure it will be fine but its pretty funny. Are you looking for peak performance in the high range of RPM's or would you rather just spit flames? With a regular set of just 8 injectors, at high RPM they will open in batch fire because pulse width modulating them at that speed is near impossible and inaccurate. With the correct injector size and tune, you could run a little rich in the high range and have an ignition cut as your rev-limiter. In this case when you hit rev-limiter the car wont ignite the fuel and will dump it into the exhaust, as you as you let off it will ignite it and you can get those flames you want haha. Guys have found plenty of ways to do it like running a basic anti-lag system where they just retard the sh*t out of timing on decel and it causes unburnt fuel to enter the exhaust which can then be ignited. Running AUX injectors for the sole purpose of flames at high RPM can cause more damage that anything as and Air/Fuel ratio to lean or rich can be detrimental. what kind of horsepower/torque numbers are you looking for? I can see if I can find an injector size that suits the build if I can get enough info. Also has any work been done to the cylinder heads or block?

            • Oh...very long to see you guys...
Struggle to get life better with my career!! very busy..

              Are you remember my RECARO?
              DSC_5857

Oh yeah!!! I just finished make it be custom Recaro CAMO.... haha
Yes, I had paint it digital camo to the rough fiber, every single pixel I paint it by marker.
It's really need more time to finish this job and I have never experienced with camo paint before.

Refer to the first I get these two seat, it's a genuine RECARO seat but I try to find the bad cushion for really cheap price.

              IMG_9953

Because I would to do my Recaro to custom just a shell. After remove the cushion it need to make a fiber more smooth.

              IMG_6139

              IMG_6142

              IMG_7426

I use abrasive and final it get more smooth skin but not totally smooth, that I want.

              IMG_6235

              IMG_7607

I start with the light color as I saw from youtube but it not easy like that because my seats had not a smooth skin so every layer of color the marker will damage.
That mean I have to make the old marker of light color and darker color every times I paint the darker color.

              DSC_5828

              DSC_5829

And as I told you I had no experience with camo paint so I make it too many pixel at the fist seat..

              DSC_5649

              DSC_5653

The result of the first seat is not quite good but I think I can fix it... as well.

              DSC_5794

So that the second seat I just reduce a pixel and the result is better, I love it as well... haha

              IMG_8126

And I decide to repaint the fist seat to remove the pixel by paint the lastes color..

              IMG_8129

              DSC_5836

              DSC_5835

How much time to get here... it's not fun as you see in my photos
after working long day and I have to do and fix and do and fix.. it very tough for me...

              DSC_5837

              DSC_5894

How ever this is just a half of this project so I won't give up and finally Ijust finish the camo Recaro seats as well

For a belt I also find the best quality and not much expensive, these belt harness is Schroth but it's not for racing car. It may be for military vehicle.

              DSC_5844

In the same time I had make the bracket for the seats too.
start with the basic method, drawing at the paper and cut and making in metal.

              IMG_5033

              IMG_5144

For the bending I have a custom blade that I make it for my job but not quite good. so I need to use many method with hammer to make it like this haha.. have not the photo..

              IMG_7605

              IMG_7606

bracket it much easy to paint camo cause it had a smooth skin so I have more time to shoot more photo..

but it not finish yet!.. the cushion not be the waste .. I send to the local shop to cut the logo of RECARO move to bottom cushion.

Your patience with the seats is crazy. Did you ever consider hydro-dipping them?

Thank you, oh yes I had study how which way to get camo paint. Hydro paint is awesome and it seem to save more time, but just like something not a machine make not a perfect come out, scar is a story.
                            Btw. Appreciate for the love
