    • Garage != check, requires a few other components.
      Tools != check, I have bare minimum amount and quality.
      Need more tools == definitely need more
      Knowledge == has
      Problem == everything else

          • Had a bit of a moment this weekend trying to keep up with some other e28s down in San Diego. Floored it and the car decided to stay at WOT even with the clutch in. Of course I only had the bare minimum of tools in my trunk like an idiot. Worked out that the AFM had gotten hung up on some crud. Only hiccup on its first long distance trip though. Whew.

              • Took me a good while to figure out what it was. At least it was an easy enough fix. Decided to start doing the valve adjustment tonight, gonna try to have it wrapped up by tomorrow.

                      Nah, can't do a Byron... I'd swap a VR6 12 valve into it.

                      • Spent most of the weekend doing house projects. Got the bug on the road for the summer though.

                            Well at least these were all within spec. The cylinder head looked almost brand new inside, literally no oil varnish. Makes me wonder what all had been done to this car before I got it. Cleaned the idle control valve, throttle body, and AFM and replaced the platinum spark plugs with copper ones.
