    Default I've secretly always wanted a wagon, so I bought a 1981 300TD W123

Hey guys figured it's time to start my build thread. The car is a classic white 1981 Mercedes 300TD turbodiesel estate. It needs some work, but I got it from a very cool guy for an awesome price. It has 200k miles on it, and has a shit load of service records, including a new transmission straight from Mercedes of Eugene.

    Mods so far are:
    • Bosch high spec headlamps (PO did them)
    • OEM euro mudflaps (PO did them)
    • Alpine headunit with bluetooth
    • Alpine 4 inch front speakers with modified grilles
    • Alpine 4 inch rear speakers
    • Privat Remembers (17x8 ET36 front & 17x9 ET30 rear)
    • federal SS595's in 205 45 R17
    • Manual boost controller
    • Temporary boost gauge till I order my VDO gauge
    • Cheesy chrome turndown exhaust tip
    • DIY frech spec fogs
    • DIY color matched grille insert and headlight louvers in dark grey
    • Grille badges off of my old W123's

Why the fake wheels? I got into my dream school, and it is going to be extremely expensive tuition. Even with two scholarships, it's still bloody expensive.

Tomorrow I'm going to the junkyard to yank a set of springs from a wrecked wagon, and I'll start taking my angle grinder to them.

BTW sorry for the instagram photos, I haven't used my SLR much with this new turd yet.

Next up will be low, spacers, straight pipe, euro spec corner lamps, new passenger side tail lamp, factory crossbars, vintage stuttgartt license plates, and some rust/paint work.

Pics of the progress somewhat in order.

And that is where I'm at so far. I've only had it for 2 weeks, so bear with me.

Thanks for all the love guys! I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Don't think I'm going to make it to the junkyard tomorrow. I got some lil thing injected into my arm under the skin to collect skin info. Hurts like a bitch, and limits my range of motion. The two other shots didn't help either I guess.

Don't get me wrong I totally want to, but they are legitimately impossible to find for sale even in Europe.

If they weren't so perfect I'd drag them on their tits.

Here is a quick rendition of the height I want, that is until I bag it.

Depends greatly on your driving style. Drive like a grandma and you'll get 24city 29highway.

Drive like me and you'll get 20city and 24 highway. The key is to not go over 65 on the freeway.
