  • bmw e34 DIY coilover options

Hi i am thinking of making my own coilovers for my bmw e34. its a 95 518 (i know crap engine but going to put a 535 engine when i get some funds together). i was going to go down the route of buying them but am going to college and cant afford any on the market for an e34. so i saw some people have made there own coilovers i was just wondering if people could help with some issues i have for example for the front what length springs and what spring rates would be suitable and also would my existing top mounts still work with the DIY coilovers. i am from ireland and find it quiet hard to source parts for making my own coilovers so any links and help would be greatly apprechiated thanks.

I dont know how low you wanna go (80mm drop in the front 60mm rear) but im currently in the process of installing the JOM E34 kit. its was $500 shipped to the United States so it should be cheaper to Ireland. Its a direct fit kit no welding required and from others reviews compares to the ride of racelands...
