well Im back at it after 2 months of no progress, its getting warmer and I dont have a life so i should be able to start getting alot done

anyways, this fucker got cut out

remade a panel to seal up the mount because the other one was pure shit

and heres my grand discovery for the day.

so at this point Im kind of pissed, I didn't want to go with flares but it looks like I have no choice here if I want to stop that inner skin from rusting anymore, o well just another "little" surprise ill have to deal with lol

filled the bumper mounts

Cut my trunk floor out replaced crossbeam w/ diff mounts

rear crossbeam

chopped this shitty repair by the PO out, you can see the rivet method they used and how it didnt work so great.

fixed the right way

and heres a shot looking up at the amount of filler it took them to smooth out their rivet job, more than 1/4" thick in some spots

and on to the good part of the update, got one flare fitted pretty good for the first cut

Awesome work man! makes me happy that you are fixing the rust right. I need to fill 2 of my 3 bumper holes also.

4 years of no updates later Im reviving this. I haven't done any work to the car in at least 2 years because of school, well I'm done now and just ordered a lot of parts and electrical bits and pieces.

Heres some pics I never got to posting. Flares warped when I welded the underside so Im going to chop them and use bolt-ons, framed in the trunk, built a fuel cell cage, and chopped up a crusty pedal box to make the wrong one the right one.
