  • The Never ending 205 GTi story

    hey guys,

    this is my project story

    specs:
    205 Gti 1.6 115hp, and 1990 building year

    pics wil tell the story

    first time giving it a bad:



    in the garage, along with my previous 205 XS project:


    the beginning of the lowering story
    -fitted kw var 1 coilovers, +rear dampers,
    -cutted exhaust shorter
    -fitting rolcage


    second lowering stage,
    -adjusting front coilover,
    -lowered it 2stairs in the torsionbar
    -fitted 1.6gti wheels wit 165 65 r14


    Test fit with the first set of wheels

    beginning setting the technical parts up to date

    -front bye bye
    -and a heap of new parts




    front relowerd +frontlip



    hellow the supersprint exhaust



    'new carpet' the orginal was badly in state (first prepping it to be mint)


    fitted the Borbet T's with 195 45 r14 dunlop



    some ice (it is now different the blue is gone)

      then the driveshafts where toast, so i had to replace them

      a nice garage pic


      then i found this wheels for the pls


      TEST fitted the pls, and saw the light


      then there came the ? plate and fixed the exhaust AGAIN


      i shaved the front tow hook of the bumper


      New lip on bumper


      did soms home made adjustments at the coilovers


      soms pics along with my previous daily car, a 406 on schmidts and kw coilovers




      made some new rims for the 'spring' because pls rings wheren't here and borbets where sold,


      AND then , the NEW barrels and lips of the pls came from germany,
      costum made schmidt rings and lips




      then i putted a automatic hood, adjusted the front wings, and shaved the backlid


      the 1.9wheels with 165 50 r15 bridgestone




      Test fit of the new wheels


      then back under the hood:
      -competion sparkplug leads
      -omp strut
      -brushed cover


      Test fit of the frontwheel


      made centercaps




      First meet with the wheels




      new exhaust setup
      - powersprint backdamper, and supersprint collector


      -baugth a new heart for it
      2.0, with 80 000km's
      with dubbel dellorto's


      new front bumper +shaved black part


      a stretch pic


      Then I polished the inlet, +restauration on the carbs

        then i bought another pls hockenheim set

        6J with 165 55 r14 federal
        7J with 165 60 r14 bridgestone




        a couple of pics



        then made the winter pls set, a bit wider with refurbed bad rings




        more pics will follow when i work on it

                    I really like it! I like the borbets a lot too, I'm going to keep an eye for a set of those. Such a cool little car...

                          I've been a big fan of this car since seeing pics with the red wheels last year! Awesome style and great stance! Truly one of the coolest little cars I've seen. Nice work!
