    Cool, thanks.

If i can get some used tires at work, i'll try the 18" Borbets i have...
If i like it i can built something with a set of Steinmetz/BBS centers
Maybe the Breytons, Cygnus or Mitos we'll see

But i think i can't go as low with 18s as i can with 17s...

That Omega woud be a nice upgrade...
If i'm not mistaken that "upgarde" was built by a guy called Opel-Frank.
He builts some serious shit, lots of real DTM, Lotus or Irmscher parts...
    Engines, transmissions, rear axles, brakes...

But i'm not that big Omega B Fan.., but that engine.., mmm.

    Mini update...

    The auto-trans is history...

I found a parts car or technically the lower half of something what
    was a wagon...
So i can't get sentimental attached to it

That means i can do some performance mods!
But the manuel swap may be the best mod by far...

      Zwischenstand:

Got nearly everything i need, have to go back with a buddy tomorrow, get the trans out,
      maybe the zyinderhead.
Maybe the shifter is bent, but i guess thats normal when a car looks like
      this...

      Didn't take much pics...

      See yaaaaa...

        So..,

        overdue update...

All the stuff i bought home...

        Everthing labeled and boxed...

The swap is basic stuff, autotrans out, flywheel/cutch in, manualtrans in,
clutchcable in, pedalbox in, swap the driveline, few wires etc...
Going to replace some shit (like always)...

Got a lot of little bits and stuff you need or don't need as seen in the
pics, a random a-type was there so i took it home too...

        Thinking 'bout some stuff atm...
I want to swap the viscofan for two Spalfans, has someone done this
(i thought about 1000m³/h each, the car has 115ps/85kw,
cooling system is about 5 liter.., dailydriven).
Remove the (not longer needed) pully, get a aluminium pulley to reduce
        some rotating mass.

Irmscher or lexmaul intake need to compare them before, or itbs...
Equal length header, anyone knows how to calculate the length
for the runners, and how/where do i mesure the lenght?

        Any info is much appreciated!

Before anyone gets mad, i know i woun't gain 329ps with the mods,
i don't really care but if there is a gain in some way thats good,
it's just about the fun doing it

Oh and i found my trunkcarpet, i know why i removed it
but i don't know why i didn't put it back in...

Next time the trans is (hopefully) in, then the fun begins...

        See ya'll

wow, autobot is gone.. soon its a racecar well i've been reading alot about turboing omegas with C20NE and its very possible if you only do 0.6 bar on the original wireing, its not much but it says choo choo ^^

why did you remove the trunkcarpet?

The wagon and loads of other crap...

Fore a racecar it needs two more cylinder...

About turbocharging, there is a stock turbo version.
It's called C20GET/LT3, it has a Garret T25 but no intercooler,
            165hp @ 5600rpm with 0,6 bar.
But with a little bit of custom work 250hp and 440nm are possible...

Also, there are the C24SE, C22SE and the X22SE (all NA),
all based on the 2,0l (GM Family II) engine.
The parts are pretty much interchangeable.

I'm getting the valvecover from the X22SE, it's flat whitout the dome
in the middle, it tidies up the look of the engine a lot.
Also i will build a cover for the header.

The trunkcarpet was nasty as fuuuuu, i cleaned it but never
put it back in, gonna do this next week, coz i have two weeks of...

Kinda, need to do the manuel swap, the oilpangasket on my mums Astra,
all the fluids of my dads L200, rebuild a set of style 40's, order lips for
the Mistrals, put the Irmscher intake in...

            Lots to do...

Haven't done much.., should be done already.., too lazy

Center out, already cleaned.., was nasty as fu...

              Humanslime...

              Rust.., ...how... ...unexpected...

              Exhaust out...

              That's not normal...

Good that i buy things on a daily base that i don't need...

              Driveshaft out...

              Good opportunity to replace this...

              And that...

The two rubberbuchings are shot, 5 months old... maybe because the trans is
              absolutly fucked...

Tomorrow my buddy and i pull the trans aka talking shit and stuff...

Coils still not here.., **** me...
Var.2 not longer made, not even custom...
Looked into holden coils... don't fit, Var.1 should be here by now,
              Nobody got time for that...

You can't have this fun with a new car...

                    Carguy lyfe...

All cars in this pic are fucked...
                    The 'vert, rearaxle...
                    The wagon, trans...
                    The truck, no brakepressure...

But i finally found a axle for the vert, as i wasn't willing to spend 150 buck,
this one was with the brakes and all stuff, and 50 bucks to my doorstep...

                    So much room...

Getting sidetracked by this, it's not even my cat...

She's always there when i work on my car.., apparentlyyou can get pussy

For the people who still check this...

Got the trans out (finally), its fairly easy to remove something you don't need anymore...
Unbolt everything and let it drop out.., then it started to rain, i fuck rain...

So tomorrow i'll fit the bearing in the crankshaft, swap the flywheel, put the clutch on, then
the trans, the shifter, driveshaft, heatshield, downpipe, exhaust, lil' wiring...

Almost done.., like i said 5 weeks ago (iirc)... lasy me...

But i'm very exited about this:

A suede shift boot made in oem spec. Thanks mom!

                        Also got this:

It's an intake manifold, obviously.., but a very rare Irmscher manifold, one of the rarest part
you can get for this engine.., the gain in horsepower and torque will be off the chart
Totally worth the money and 300km drive...
It won't stay red, mostly i'll sandblast it and hit it with a flat clear or somthing less ugly...

The problem with the lowlows may be over, as i can get a set of coils made,
currently waiting for kw to mail me, its either a Var.1 or a Cometition 2, we'll see...

I might get a black leather interior if the guy comes down with the pirce a bit,
maybe more Irmscher stuff.., stupid thing is there is still a car attached to it

Someone help me to decide what wheels i should run next year.., or should i stick
with the style 40s, i like how much it annoys the bimmer guy at work lol.

Turbo's would look awesome. Mito's will be nice 2

I'd like to but i'm a little worried about the adapter i have to run, it would
be like 55mm, witch is a little to much for my liking...

I could run a square set of 10s, if you still have your set...

Nice that you still check, maybe i'll refinish the Mitos this winter...

The intake isn't red from the factory (it was fitted to a red car).., also for stealth
reasons, the TÜV engineer doesn't need to know everything

                              __________________________________________________ ________________________

So, i got the mail from KW...

Well, the Var.1 isn't going to cut it, since their specs can't be changed...
The Comp. 2 is a full race tec suspension.., aka getting it approved is
                              a little difficult...
Everything need to be discussed with the TÜV engineer before i purchase
it... oh and it cost about 2k €... fml

And i managed to find and buy a super uber rare equal length 4-1 header...
That's a kinda big deal, since these 2.0l engines in these cars didn't
got modified as much as the 2.6l or 3.0l, so i'm super happy about it!

I went out to do "some" work, well belive it or not the centric on the crank between the
stick and auto is different, the flywheel needs to be machiened like 5mm...

I thing it's not about finishing this car, it's about defeating it and win...

Last weekend i drove 580km/360mls to Gelsenkirchen.., to pick up this:
P1010363_zpsf96c5086 by Dominic ., auf Flickr

The said ANSA header.., someone 'fitted' a mini catalytic converter to it to save tax,
so i have to fix that and the welded in o2 sensor...

Saw some rad cars on the trip, two golf mk1 one full original driven by an old couple
                                one lowered and a build 1,8t or something, a slammed R8, 968 S, an 60s or so
buick convertible, new sirocco racecar (so loud, so good) also a Z4 and E36 racecars,
                                on trailers tho...

Drove the 'vert, it vibrates like shit at 100 to 115km/h, had to drive about 120
to 130km/h which caused the car to overhead...
Fixed that by putting the heater on hot and the fan on 4...
It goes into storage in 7 days, appointment with the detailer this week,
                                winterbreak will be fun.
Headgasked, coolant flush, rear brakes, fix frontlip, windshild, some rust
and minor things... no big deal right...

                                ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also my parents were kind enough to pick these up on the way home from their vacation.
