Feelling this too, but the set i have is 8,5/10x18, the rear arches are radiust/lightly
flared tough, but i don't think this gonna fit.
Maybe if i redo the arches in the future...

        ----------------------------------------------

So i got myself these today...

I remember seeing one in a German tuner magazine like 15 years ago or something like that, and i fell for it right away. Loved the idea of a cool wagon.

                        Time for update i guess...

Since the last time i did the 150000 km maintenance and because i didn' knew
anything about the service history i did a lil' more...

                        Oil
                        Oilfilter
                        Airfilter
                        Fuelfilter
                        Valvecover gasket
                        Distributor/Rotor
                        spark plugs
                        spark plug wires

Everything was much needed, i think they only changed the oil, every other part
looked like it was from 1992...

And the car runs stronger than ever.

I put the correct size tires on, removed the remains of the old wheel weights
that almost cover the whole inside of the rim and balanced them.

Scored some recaros, because you know, i NEEDED them, to hold me when i
                        unleash the mighty 115 HP..

*Pic got lost while changing hosts, they where Recaro Sprotster CS*

Have to figure out how to mount them/build brackets.

                        Now onto the bad news...

The coilovers have to wait another one or two months...

First i need a new batterie, not much of a problem, already ordered one.
But since a few weeks my transmission doesn't work how it' supposed to be,
sounds funny, shifts to early or to late sometimes it doesn't shift at all..,
first i thought its the cold weather but it warmed up this week and fault is still there...
Also the idle is a little rough...

So i need it to be rebuild.., f**k that almost 1k out of the window...

But on the upside of the downside i can get the diff rebuild too or even put a LSD in.
More stuff to pay for, thats good right?
We'll see maybe i do some overtime, to get the coils earlier...

                        Adios amigos...

Nice work on the bmw rims! What happend to your rear arches? These arent Original, are they?

Those Breytons also look rather nice.

I happen to also have one of these Caravans, I simply love it. I want it lowered so bad

No, the arches aren't original, the second owner had a bodyshop an fitted the
arches of a Opel Senator, don't now why, maybe rust...
If i redo the arches i'll go back to strait ones.

The Breyton need to be rebuilt first, after that i'll swap rims from time to time...
I love these caravans too, don't realy know why...

Coilover are avalible for the caravan, but i would love to bag this thing,
i think it would be pita to get all the airride stuff TÜV approved..,
also it would have to be full custom.

Maybe when i restore the whole car i try to figure something out to get it approved.

                                Update of sorts...

Still not low, but better driveability...

Since the last time i got a new/old batterie, and i talked to a old opel empoly about
the trans problems, they're caused by the gearstickpostitionsensor (if this is the right term),
                                so no new trans needed!
Diff change is on hold because there are like a million different ones, 4 zylinder, 6 zylinder,
automatic or stick, with or without LSD, and so many combinations of that...

                                Today was also productive..,

last time the car was on the lift i checked some bushings since i had a pretty
bad knock noice from rear axle.
It was the main axle bushing on the passanger side...

Lets just say it needed to be replaced soon, and by soon i mean NOW...

Got the bolts out, they looked like new even after 22 years.

                                because i was pissed.
It slipped out several times.., so i went inside and eat a piece of cake.
After that it slipped right in.

Last weekend lost my front indicator on the autobahn.., i needed a new one anyway.
450km/280mi with about 180 km/h/110mph seems to be to much for a singe zip tie...
