What's the best way to remove the silicone after?

A razor blade and scotch-brite, or a wire wheel attachment on a cordless drill / drill press.

I got a fresh lip and barrel from rotifrom and sealed them up good....but i forgot to scruff up surface before putting down bead....has anyone done without having issues? I know the bead is not holding wheel together but just keeping air in.... just wondering.

          Thanks,

No. This thread is not the place to ask that.

Great thread...Getting ready to seal my wheels here in the next couple days. Work Equip 05.

                This step:
tep 3: Torque down the hardware (you may also choose to torque down the hardware at the very end, this helps with not having a bubble form in the silicone). With Fikse and Kinesis wheels, which use relatively small, M6 hardware, torque spec is 15 ft lbs. Fikse should be torqued to 14 ft lbs. Do not over-torque. With wheels that use larger M8 hardware, torque spec is usually around 18 ft lbs. Torque in a star pattern, rather than just one after another in a row. Do not use a cheap, autozone style torque wrench. Borrow a good torque wrench from a friend if you have to.

If i decide to torque them at the end, do i TQ the bolts after the sealant is completely dry/24 hrs after i lay it or do i do I TQ them before it dries? I appreciate the assistance/guidance.

Rad wheels! I use steel polisher to polish my rims, it looks fantastic after a few wiping. You should try it too
