    • Nothing, both very poor/dangerous designs

        • Actually... I think the ohhbekay's set up is just as bad, if not worse. When you welded that cheap ass all-thread in you took all the heat treat/strength right out of it if you would have ran the proper length bolt with a head on the bottom side of the back up plate it would have been about 10 times stronger. just my .02!

          • ^you do have me there.I applaud you for actually having some sense.
they are not new studs. it was a rod cut to length. the only problem I could see happening, is if the strut came up a busted through it all, pull the welds.
ive said this elsewhere, the car bottoms out before the strut does.
again, the spring sits under the tower on my set up. against the tower just like OEM does. the strut body has travel now because the OEM hat sits under the tower by a good inch and a half. without the OEM hat or aftermarket tophats, the strut would be limited to staying under the tower. now the body has room to move. NEVER hitting the tophat ontop of the tower. again, the car hits the ground before the strut hits the tophat.

I'm actually open to hearing real design flaws with MY set up, not people just guessing what will happen.

                          • Dude your strut tower design is so awesome! Seriously You should probably try and register a patent for it. I am pretty sure Nascar and maybe even some F1 teams would be interested... It would probably solve their ride height issues. Adrian Newey would be so proud. Keep fighting the good fight. Cheers!
